I shaved my beard this weekend because I'm going to start interviewing again. Why do I live in a place where the air hurts my face!?!

Shaved or trimmed? I've been contemplating about shaving mine off too, but I'm really waiting til it gets warmer.

It's gone, went from 4 months worth of growth to clean shaven.

I'll pour a sip of beer out tonight, it's for good first impressions. I have red hair, so walking in looking like a Viking probably wouldn't help.

Then again, I enjoyed that look. Sigh...

For me, if it's trimmed, it really should be ok. But I understand where you're coming from. When I got my current job, I asked the phone interviewer if facial hair was ok.
